Here's a pair of Bullfinches that were feeding along the estuary at Newport Sands, Dyfed this afternoon. They showed beautifully for twenty minutes and down to a couple of meters. I also had my first otter sighting along this same stretch of water a couple of days ago at what has been my favourite holiday patch. Shame we have to leave tomorrow.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to Pembrokeshire, despite the weather! As mammal recorder for the county, I would love to receive more details of your otter sighting (preferably with a grid reference) and any other mammals you may have seen.
The Dartford Warbler is the blog of brothers, Matt and Paul Bruty, originally set up to share each others' birding exploits from Essex and the London area respectively. Paul now (from November 2008) writes from Australia. Reports from elsewhere will appear from time to time when we're lucky enough to get away.
