At last! A Merlin!

I'm going to come straight out with it. I've never seen a Merlin. I've spent hours in their local wintering hot spots and just never had the good fortune. It was driving me a bit mad. That was until today! I was hanging out with the finch flocks on Wallasea Island hoping a Merlin attack was imminent and after about 15 minutes I got my reward. It was the icing on top of a great day that included Snow Buntings, a smart male Marsh Harrier, a Hen Harrier, Red-Breasted Mergansers and plenty besides. I've put my full listings on the SOG site.
